1. What are the core concept of six sigma ?
Six sigma is all about of maintaining the quality of the end product and in processes as well. Six sigma provides the highest standards that are useful in improving the quality of the product. It can be noticed that if there are preplanned and appropriate standards of anything or any work which is to be performed, then there is high probability that the work will be performed with almost low error rate. Hence, six sigma is a disciplined methodology which use some statistical analysis and data to measure and improve a company’s products quality by identifying and eliminating the defects in all the processes related to manufacturing and services.
It is said that if six sigma methodologies are used to maintain the quality of the product, then there are 99.99% chances that the final product manufactured or final services provided will be error free or defect free.
It can be assumed that there are three main areas where the six sigma targets, and that are Reducing the process cycle time, improving customer satisfaction, and mainly in reducing defects.
2. Describe the evolution of quality management and how it influenced the six sigma philosophy?
Quality plays an essential role in every business organization. Quality is something which have a major role in deciding whether business is capable in earning profit or not or whether an organization is capable of achieving its objectives or not. Quality helps in maintaining the customer satisfaction and also helps in reducing the risk and cost of replacing faulty goods.

Both the methods are used In improving the quality of the final product, processes and services. But yes, these are not the same and there is a difference both.

4. Definition of Quality
In operation management, quality is the ability measure that tells how or is the product is able to meet the customer’s expectations. A good quality would be ensured in all the processes of business like in labor force, material purchased, equipment and machines used etc. Quality is not absolute, but yes it is judged by the customers using different standards which are made by themselves.
