Administrative Support Professional: The job incumbent provides general support for managers at the division level and above. Typical work includes aiding in project management applications. This position does not supervise.

Almost all jobs are governed by FLSA and they are classified into exempt and non-exempt category. Non-Exempt employees are entitled for receiving overtime pay, but exempt employees are not. The job profile- Administrative Support Professional is currently under non-exempt category and are entitled for overtime pay. Administrative support professional provide support to mangers of high level and helps in project management related applications. They are not directly authorised to supervise. As per FLSA, jobs in exempt category have to regularly supervise two or more employees with management of the professionals as per the job profile. As, Administrative Support Professional do not have the right to supervise and therefore, it cannot be considered for shifting to exempt category. This job profile continue to exist in non-exempt category.
