discuss and identify ways that would make the ideal collaborative team and how to execute this idea. For next week I want to make an idea for an app call H.I.M. and that stands for help in minutes. I work for Comcast and we have a lot of elderly customers that call in and need in-home tech support, but they make call at a time when they have to wait till the next day, or days before they can receive the support that they need. With this app we will have a couple of interns, retirees, and simply people who are out of work that want to help people and make some extra cash. The app will consist of a database of people in their area that's familiar with how to troubleshoot and fix the problem on the go, or provide temporary solutions until they get an actual technician out to their home. It will be like uber for independent contractors. We will also provide face-time/video messaging to help the customers remotely. We can also get a contract with their HOA's that if they don't have the experience or knowledge on how to use the App they can call a number and we could dispatch somebody out there for them. I have sent technicians out to peoples houses who simply just needed to change their batteries, but could not open the remote to do it themselves, and I have also had customers accidentally change their TV with the wrong remote and simply couldn't get back to the source. I would definitely have age and identification verification so we can give these seniors and loyal customers a discount. We would offer 24/hr support to all senior citizens and people with disabilities. I would incorporate a system similar to uber eats that will actually pick up orders to cut down on shipping costs and waiting time with free installation. If its something that we cannot fix we will pay half of their tech visit charges. This will also reduce unnecessary tech visits and possibly improve the customer service of the company overall. This app will also reserve the technicians energy and effort for jobs that actually require them to come out in the first place.
Explanation / Answer
First of all the core areas of App must be identified and accordingly expert people will be hired to look after that specific areas. For example: Marketing will be a core function to this new app. So , a well talented and skilled person will be required to overseas the functions related to app.
Technical support will be one of the area where people from computer science might be kept to take care.
To make a collaborative team , people hired/ deputed from other department must be given training in two parts . In this first part will be technical knowledge about App and second soft skill training so that people will work as a family members . It will result in sophisticated and smooth operation of this new app for simple and elderly customers .
