Explanation / Answer

Every business be if online or offline exists for one purpose, “to make profits and sustain the business”. Hence it is not at all surprising, if someone someday comes to me and says that facebook.com is creating money by spying on your activity and serving you customized advertisements.

First, when we entered into any social sites, even a person with mediocre education knows he is signing the terms and conditions of the social site which will have your information and would see what you are doing.

Secondly, it protects your privacy by letting you control what you want to show others.

Third, Google would give you options to delete your history, you can stop Google tracking you, you can also see what Google has gathered about you and delete all of them if you need. But is that really what you need is the question. I mean if I search for a Pizza place near me yesterday and today when I was watching YouTube , I get an ad saying , there is this pizza point near my home, would that really be a harm to me ! And after all , the platform freely available to you for seeing videos, it is really not too much if they show you some Ads and take some of your time which anyway you can customize through some tools if you know how to use them.

We must respect every business and their practice if we want to use their products which indirectly making us a product as long as it is not harming our personal space which I think in no way in danger and hence I don’t think social sites are a danger to humanity and their personal space.
