Question

Criminal activity has changed significantly from the early days of computing. We had to change our way of thinking about cybercrime, both in defining it and combating it, do clearly describe what we think is wrong, and why. Look backwards across time and pick a clearly identified cybercrime from over five years ago and describe it, or look to the current era for a action that SEEMS wrong, but for which there may be minimal laws, and explain what it is and how it is criminal. If there is no good punishment for your criminal topic, describe what you think makes more sense, providing a sense of scale for this activity.

Explanation / Answer

Cybercrime is defined as a crime where a computer is the crime object (phishing, spamming, hacking and many more) or is used as a tool for offence execution (child pornography, abduction, crimes, etc.). To approach to your personal info cybercriminals use computer technology and exchange secrets of business. They also use the internet for exploitive or mischievous purposes. They can also do communication and store data or any document from other user’s computer. Hackers are term referred to the criminals who perform these illegal activities through computer programming.

We can easily combat Cybercrimes by creating complex password for us, by using a password manager who keeps saved our credentials by auto-filling them for different websites. By not sharing your password with others, logic applies for IT workers and Apple representatives. By changing our password often at-least once in every 6 month we can keep track of our account. Nowadays there’s a two-step verification method which is also a good option in combating cybercrimes
