Question
1. Consider a system that produces budget reports for your department at work. Alternatively, consider a registration system that produces enrollment reports for a department at a university. For whichever system you choose, answer the following design questions:
Who will use the output?
What is the purpose of the output?
When is the output needed and when is the information that will be used within the output available?
Where does the output need to be delivered?
How many people need to view the output?
2. Design a budget report using a spreadsheet package.
Following the prototyping discussed in the chapter 10 (see also Figure 6-7),
describe the steps you would take to design a prototype of this report.

I am choosing the system that produces budget reports for department at work. I am answering this question in the perspective of software company.
Here the output is nothing but the reports of budget for the particular department. In organisation this report will be used by the Project Managment Team. Because they are the one who deals with the budget management in the software companies.
The purpose of this budget reports are to identify the how much money generated from this department and how much the organisation is spending and wheher the company is in profits or losses etc all these will be the factors.
Generally in organisations these budget reports are generated for every quarter and from this reports they will see from which client how much amount is generating and also on each employee in the department how much is generating and how much company paying to employee like these all are calculated and considered.
These output will be delivered to the higher managment which takes care of the budget matters in an organisation.
There is no standard like these many people need to view. Thats depends on the organisation hierarchy. If it is small then only few people i.e. 3 to 4 people will view. If it is large organisation then there are many people involved in this like partners, share holders and higher managment like Vice Precidents, CEO, MD's etc like this so many people wil view these reports.
According to the CHEGG Policies I am able to anwer only one question Please do post the remaining as new question. Hope you understand.
