Banks, large corporations, insurance companies, government and security organizations are increasingly mining data (including personal data) about individuals to detect any fraud, crime or any potential security incident well in time before it causes any serious damage.

Yes, ofcourse it is not a good idea to use the privacy preserving techniques in all places. Though its main aim is to preserve personal data of the people but this should be applied to the general public only and some unauthorised places only.

In places like banks and in some other organisations like this they must and shouldly get all the personal information of the persons. Otherwise they will get the losses by giving loans and this type of benifits to the frauds and filthy people. So they shouldn't use this privacy preserbing data mining techniques.
