AutoCad Civil 3D Assignment,

I am trying to complete the following project but am unsure on what steps I have to take,

The assignment is as follows

Your design team will be required to identify any project constraints, prepare a preliminary design of the parking lot, quantity estimate, and cost estimate for the project.

Project Constraints
The parking lot must have 240 parking spaces. The parking lot must be located within the property lines shown on the base plan. The minimum grade of the lot must be greater than 0.5 %, and the maximum grade must be less than 5 %. The parking lot must be made up of parking bays consisting of 40 spaces, 20 per side. The bays must be contiguous.
You will be required to conduct a slopes analysis of the existing terrain. Identify any ground slopes over 20%. These areas must be avoided. Show the analysis on a plan.
The parking lot must be at least 30 metres from a roadway.

3.0 Project Documentation
You will be required to submit one plan showing the layout of the parking lot and two cross section sheets. You are to show dimensions on the parking lot and the cross sections. Submit a quantity and cost estimate.
You should submit 5 PDF files: one layout plan, one slopes constraint plan, two cross section sheets, and a PDF file containing your quantity and cost estimate. You will also submit your drawing file.

You will be supplied with one AutoCAD drawing: Sackville Park and Ride Base Plan.dwg and the block PARKING BAY.dwg
Unit costs are as follows:
Cost of excavation: $15 per cubic metre
Cost of borrow: $25 per cubic metre
Cost of waste: $10 per cubic metre
Borrow refers to a shortage of material. If your quantity estimate indicates that there is more fill than cut, you need borrow. The amount of borrow is the difference between cut and fill. If your quantity estimate indicates that there is more cut then fill, then you need to waste material

Explanation / Answer

Following are some steps you have to take

1.At first, you have to analyze what is actually given to you in your assignment.

2.Draw the layout plan as well as 2 cross-section sheets as it is given to you in the assignment.

3.Determine how much excavation is done or the area of the excavation and calculate its cost by using the information that cost of excavation is $15 per cubic meter.

4. Then calculate how much material is going to be used here as per the requirement as well as calculate its cost.
