2) if we have to set up a 10baseT LAN using CAT 3UTP then,from memory the ethernet specifications has the maximum length cable of 100 meter,,so we will be required to have 3 100m cables,with 2 switches or 2 hub in between of these cables.
3).the answer in the question 2 can be explained saying,100M is the absolute maximum, so if you count any patch cables, you may need 3 switches. Hubs will not work, as you need the "store and forward" features of switches. Hubs are just electrical repeaters, and extending beyond 100m will cause delays in timing and fail.therefore 100m cable is the best for the 10BaseT LAN 3UTP.
4)ETHERNET is a high speed lan,it can be used to connect 2 different LANs through a hub,connecting two lans with switches.
5.)when the number of workstation increases in an exsisting segment,then it uses the source from the old LAN segment,whose capacity was set according to the old number of station,now when the segment is being divided amongst the more number of workstations,traffic will increase in the LAN segment,its performance will be decreased because it dont had enough amount of power to distribute among all with full speed,to remove this bad performance,one need to check for NIC and also NETbios conflicts.after sorting these two,problem will be solved.
