Cultural Aspects of Globalization
In recent times, globalization and internationalization of worldwide market and modern business environment created the cross-cultural challenges for the multinational organizations those run their operations in different countries (Kettell, 2010). Multinational organizations have faced the cross-cultural issues due to different cultural background of employees working and people engaged in the business or operation. Moreover, cultural, religion, customs, language, values, norms and ethnicity differences in the countries created cross-cultural risks for the international organizations that are the main effect of globalization.
In addition, globalization is responsible for cultural homogenization and created cultural issues between the countries due to differences in the culture of countries. Moreover, globalization also created the situation of wars, struggle over scarce resources, and issues between the two countries if they can focus on protection of their local companies and cannot consider the interest of foreign countries companies. In addition, some economics also critics about the globalization as the unequal globalization that means that the globalization only provides benefit for few countries such as developed countries or Western countries not the all countries. After the globalization, developing countries take large amount of fund or finance from the developed countries to develop infrastructure that result in large debt burden of developing countries (Lee, Brett & Park, 2012). After the globalization of the international market, WTO is mainly responsible of protectionism as it develops or implements policies related to economy growth of the developing countries and reduce gap between rich and poor countries or Western (developed) and developing nations.

Globalization of the market also allowed the organization to spread of customs, import or exports, trades, language, culture and products. Globalization also allowed people to obtain goods and services from the other nations that required the business men and firms communicate, deal or maintain relationship with different nation people, firms and parties. Globalization is allow the people to understand the culture of other countries through communicating, dealing and maintaining the relationship between two different cultural nation people, parties and firms (Stiglitz, 2002). In addition, globalization opened the door of the market for the foreign or other countries people and firms that contributes to blending of cultures and the deterioration of unique cultural differences. The negative aspect of the globalization is the gap between the rich (Western) and poor (developing countries). The other negative aspect of globalization is reducing in individual sovereignty of a nation, environmental pollution and susceptibility of all parts of the world bearing with recession in other nations.
Each country has their different culture and language that created differences in the way of management and way of negotiation that contributes to blending of cultures due to globalization. Moreover, due to the differences in culture, language, values, customs, and ethnicity, the people management and negotiation style has different that effects on the other country people due to globalization. Cultural differences in different countries people also impacted virtual communication, decision making and communication styles that is causing differences in management and negotiation style due to globalization (Liu, Friedman & Hong, 2012). In addition, the differences related to culture mainly contributed the flows of culture between Western and developing nations due to globalization needed to maintain communication, coordination and relationship between the two different nation’s people and parties.
Moreover, after the globalization of the market, the different people of countries are needed to maintain communication, coordination and relationship with each others that effect on the culture and contribute to blending of cultures (Rosenberg, 2003). The globalization is played major role into the flows of culture between Western and developing nations through maintaining communication, coordination and relationship between these nations’ people during the trade, import or export and business.
At the same time, the different nation’s people understand about the cultural or language difference and the way of behavior of other countries people. Because globalization must be maintain communication, coordination and relationship with other countries people. For example, in recent times, English is the mostly understand or used language in the worldwide after the globalization due to people needed to communicate with other to doing business, trade and import and exports. In addition, the globalization contributes to blending of cultures as the other countries people given the respect of other people cultural, traditions, religions, norms, beliefs and values (Lee, Brett & Park, 2012). Moreover, globalization played major role in to flows of culture between Western and developing nations as the Western people and developing nations’ people are able to understand the each other culture, language, values and norms.
