We have been asked by Indy Real Estate, a small real estate business on the Gold Coast, to get a router installed in their business premises. The business includes a manager, a receptionist and five real estate agents. All of these people will require access through the router we are going to install. Thus we need the information about many things here about the router information and how will the people use it. Other than that information we cannot install a router as we will have no idea that what does the network do and how does it work. The information and the types of communication are:
a) We need a consolidated document for stating their requirements as a requirement document primarily to understand the business overview and how the router is expected to be used by the people as above.
b) We need to know the information containing the aspects of a network for the servers.
b) Network topology diagram is mandatory in this case as it will contain the network's topology and the network diagram to describe the network and an overview of the network design which connects the whole network as a segment.
c) Server names, roles and IP addresses used in the network should be known before installation of the network
d) Hardware components installed should be known as well such as - containing the individual servers, and other hardware such as switches, routers, gateways and other networking hardware
e) Regular meetings to understand and clarify on the requirements and even face to face communications
f) We'll perform a reverse presentation of our understanding formally and discuss how we need to handle the scenario
g) Communicating with the manager, receptionist and five real estate agents individually and as a group - are the users who will use the system. So we will need to know their expectations, business perspective and how does it work.
h) Communication with the stakeholders about the router implementation through formal meetings and presenting to them the implementation process.

Write a plan for the installation of the router and deliver this document to the business - This will be a Mass Communication, when a plan for the installation of the router is documented and delivered to the business. This will be at peer level and also at Upward level.
Obtain approval from the business to go ahead with the router installation - Communication with the stakeholders of the business and the application, through formal means of communications and meetings will be an Upward means of communication, where we need to obtain approval from the business to go ahead with the router installation according to the plan we have prepared.
