Question
Uber and lyft are the Tata companies which are based on the mobile applications for their operations. These specific operations requires customer to download the mobile app and to connect to the driver. Specific situation just shows a change of the medium with which a customer can contact the cab. As compared to the traditional method of regulations which is used by the traditional taxis, uber and lyft have to follow the traditional regulations as well as additional regulations for using the application as a medium to contact the customers.
Every taxi company even if it is traditional or based on applications have to follow the rules and guidelines made for the taxi department. This specific guideline is similar to the traditional taxi companies and have some additional regulations as well. If Uber and lyft does not follow the specific regulations, there are operational licences could be revoked by the government. Revoking the licence is just one consequence of not following the rules and regulations. If Uber does not follow the specific rules and regulation their image in the market would be decreased and they will lose the customer share. Both of the companies are totally based on the application based cab ordering companies.
Uber in lyft would also face resistance from the traditional taxi companies and this would put additional load on the system for Uber and lyft
