Motivation explains the individual's efforts towards attaining the organizational goals.These efforts should be intense in the right direction with persistence.The intensity explains how hard the employee tries to attain his goal.This efforts should be in the right direction and right decisions have to be made.These efforts have to be maintained with persistance until the employee achieves the organizational goals

Employee performance:

Employee performance is the perofrmance of employees in the organization and how well the employees align their skills,knowledge,competencies with the organization's objectives.The performance of the employees will have a direct impact on the organization's growth.If the employees performance is good then productivity of an employee increases which results in the overall increase in productivity of organization.If the employees get motivated to work and is satisfied with the job then performance of an employee will increase and the employees will stay committed to the organzation.Employees are the main assets of the organization so their performance is valued and should be recognized.

Overall performance in organIzation:

Overall performance of an organization is the total efforts of individual employees performance.Every individual employees performance is accounted for the organization performance.Each and every employee should take responsibility and stay committed to their work to increase their performance.So that it will result in overall growth of the company.

Individual job performance:

Every employee is assigned with some tasks to complete.So employee has the responsibility to achieve his assigned goals within the specified time.Individual job performance have an impact on the organization performance.Every employee should be motivated towards their work to increase their job performance.Individual job performance can bring promotions,rewards for an employee

Measuring job performance:

Job performance can be measured with some tools:

-Performance appraisals:

Employee's performance appraisal determines how well the employee is performing with his assigned tasks.Performance appraisal also states the feedback for employees in areas of improvement.In this method each employee's performance is reviewed,evaluated and documented

-Productivity tests:

Productivity tests are conducted to employees and their scores are assessed to determine whether the employee meets the organizations expectations.

-360 degree feedback:

This is the feedback from co-workers,managers,top management etc.The employee's productivity is evaluated by everyone with whom they interact daily,including those employees below their level,same level of employees and upper level.

-Management by objectives:

This method is used to evaluate employee's technical skills,interpersonal communication,motivation and productivity.It also evaluates the goals assigned to the employees and how they complete the assigned goals is determined

Employee motivation and performance:

Employee motivation explains the commitment,their level of energy towards the work.Employee motivation is the main thing to increase the productivity of employee.Only when the employees are motivated they do their work enthusiastically.Employees can be motivated by recognizing them ,giving awards ,Promotion,onsite opportunities etc

When the employees are motivated then their performance also increases.So employee motivation have direct impact on performance of employees

Motivating employees intrinsically:

Intrinsic factors such as recognition,responsibility,achievement ,all are related to job satisfaction.So when the employees are motivated they tend to stay committed and are satisfied with their job.These employees tend to work more for the company and resulting increase in performance

Motivating employees extrinsically:

Extrinsic factors such as supervision,pay,company policies ,working conditions etc also play a major role for employee motivation.When the environmental conditions are good then employees feel good to work in the company and thus increase their performance

Conclusion:

Motivation is the main factor for the growth of the employee inturn leads to growth of organization.So employees must be motivated to increase their productivity.
