1. Convenience goods- These are the goods which are of daily routine of consumer and it requires minuimun amout of efforts on part of consumers.
Strategy- Extensive distribution strategy- This strategy has a high distributtion volume. Under this strategy, A product reaches as many customers as possible. The main focus of this strategy is to make the product available to the large number of customers.
2.Shopping goods- These are the goods which require an excluive examination and comparision by the customers while making purchase. These goods are purchased only after analysing Quality, cost and features of a particular product. In short, these goods require little efforts of consumer in purchasing.
Strategy- Intensive distribution- In this, a company sells through as many outlets as possible so that the product can be easily available to customers for their examination.
3. Luxury goods- These are the goods, of which the demand increases with the increase in income of an individual All the individuals are not able to afford these products as they are costly. These goods doen't include anything which is a basic need of an individual.
Strategy-Selective distribution-Companies target here a certain amount of middleman to sell their products.
