What is the financial plan and why is it important?

Financial planning is the process of estimating the capital required for the company to function. It’s related to every department of the company. The importance of financial planning is to ensure the organization has enough funds to operate day to day. Another importance of financial planning is that it reduces the uncertainties on the daily operations.

How does the financial plan factor into the overall strategic plan of an organization?

It is an important factor because if the organization doesn’t have enough capital to operate it will not be able to compete with its rivals, it could run behind on the payments of the suppliers or payment for their own employees.

Mission statement:

The Bulletin seeks to publish and disseminate scientifically rigorous public health information of international significance that enables policy-makers, researchers and practitioners to be more effective; it aims to improve health, particularly among disadvantaged populations.

Do you believe the mission statement you have chosen is effective? Why or why not?

Yes I do believe it is effective because I´m familiar with the work of the World Health Organization.

Without knowing specifically what the goals are of this organization’s financial plan, how do you suppose the goals would affect the mission statement?

I would affect it directly because if the WHO doesn’t know how much money they have for their different plans they wouldn’t be able to conduct their researches to improve the health of the disadvantaged population.
