The decision has been made to make changes throughout the organization’s approach to these issues, starting with its people programs. Specifically, the organization has selected to approve the offering of health benefits to domestic partners. You’ve been tasked with preparing the roll-out of this new initiative to the employees at all locations. Discuss how this will impact the organizations diversity training – what will need to change? Provide specific elements of how you will handle the concerns of current employees, over this new direction the leadership is taking. There is no doubt that it is very difficult to change the conservative views about an organisation. In fact, if any changes will be made in the organisation, it can be expect that there will be high resistance to change. As a senior human resource manager, it is important to list down the objective and particular changes that needs to be changed. So first it is important to change the views of the employees by providing them a good, challenging and employee friendly environment. it will help them to feel the concern for the company and it will increase their loyalty with the company. Secondly, it is the good way to communicate the right message about the company through its internal customers to the external world. This is not an easy task; It requires smart decision making with great efforts. So personally, I need to be very cautious about my every step because there is a great risk in it. It can either enhance the image or ruin the image of the company. First of all, a right message needs to be communicated to the employees through various training programs and workshop. It will help in communicating the right vision and objective of the senior management to the employees. Secondly, it is important to take wise decisions in favour of employees related to changes in culture, focus towards more employees friendly policies like to give flexible timings, paid holidays, job security, pension and other provisions related to perks. There should be fairness in the system of the organisation that can impact positively on the employees. Thus we can say that above written elements are very important for the organisation from the human resource perspective and it will definitely help the organisation to make a harmony between the necessary changes and its employees. After adopting all the policies, it will encourage the employees to accept the changes of the organisation not only for their betterment but for the whole organisation.
