You are part of a team designing robots for home use. The customer wants a fleet of customized robots that can perform standard and repetitive tasks. The customer owns a catering service and needs the robots for kitchen duties such as washing dishes, peeling potatoes, or making a salad. Your job is to design the instructions for the robot to peel and cut potatoes for potato salad. Write your instructions as if you were writing an Assembler program, however, you do not need to write the actual code, just the instruction set. Be as thorough as possible.

Solution :-

The robotic arm performs the peeling and cutting the potatoes. SO there are many challenges to make it working. Before the coding section we need the instruction set that is followed by the robotic arm. The fixed instruction is there for the robot to follow. The below given instruction set is a general thought that should be followed by the robotic arm.

The instruction set contains the instructions are given below -

1) give the potatoes to the arm individually let it pick from collection of potatoes

2) protecting the robot from environmental entities like starches, dirt, and other contaminants that produced there while peeling.

3) peeling the potatoes that are not in normal shape and have concave and convex sections.

4) when the potato main part is peeled then reposition the potato so it can peel the ends of the potato.

5) set in friction settings of the robotic arm between gripping the skin and gripping the already-peeled section.

6) consider the size differences when holding and cutting the potato.

7) the force between potatoarm blade should be controlled.

8) the cutting blade size is considered here for the different section of the potato. Large blade causes miss some sections and too small blade insrease the process time.

9) the robot and the blade coordination is required. The force should be correct. By taking the robotic arm wrist in account the position of blade is controlled and vary the force on different sections of potato.
