Find an article that describes a computerized database system that is in use in the field in which you work. The above gives an excellent article about tracking application, surveleance application. Now a days a number of applications make use of tracking and location services. Some of the fields are in case of banking (where tracking is done through survellance cameras and the images stored as blobs in datawarehouse are monitored for any theft activity). Now a days applications such as tracking using mobile phones which make use of the latitude and longitude loaded into a database plays a critical application in tracking people in disaster areas, tracking animals using RFIDs, tracking friends. All the information related to users and their locations are stored in database and the information is retrieved as per need basis.
