LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT is the development of local people by encourging them to work together for the betterment of thier locality ,improving the quality of life inorder to achieve sustainable economic growth.

1-local economic development plan is that to improve the quality of life and living of meerut city by proving it with economic benefits.

2-The city choosen for economic development is meerut of india,it is the northeast of the national capital New Delhi.The city is famous for sports goods, and the largest producer of musical instruments in India.The population of Meerut is 3,443,689 currently,most of the business establishments is of sports and musical instruments. local government and institutions, the local government and institutions include the commissioner who is the head of local government institutions like Municipal Corporations.The decision making process is under taken by commisioner.

3-Public transport was there and public parnership was there in the form publicly owned and privately owned companies.

4-Marketing Community was made in the form of tourism Marketing ,local marketing,brand marketing etc.

5-Project viability was good as there good fdinances available and only little labor was needed and financing options were there in the form of local banks etc.

6-Sustainability analysis or Cost - Benefit analysis shows the cost involved was not very high as the development of locality doesnot require huge efforts.

7-Organizational Design-it include development of shopping complexes in urban areas,temples,educational instituitions etc.

8-after evaluating all the options we came to know that opening markets,small complxes ,good education instituitionms in remote ares will improve the economic growth and lead to sustainable economic development.
