I belong to a college club. And the most common phenomenon that usy takes place amongst the group is that of group polarization.

It begin with group think, which involves having a view which takes into account the jumping on a bandwagon with respect to a certain view.

And the other aspect involves the phenomenon of group polarization which involves taking radical decision, either too weak or too strong that dont really help a situation.

This is considered as a unhelpful aspect as it leads to fallacious reasoning.

Minority influence can counter this effect, by having the tendency to play the devils advocate and shift the groups perspective to a more dynamic perspective.
