The dorsal horn is the posterior grey column that relieves various sensory signals like fine touch.
The ventral root of spinal cord carries the motor signals to effector cells and structure.
The ventral horn is the anterior grey column of spinal cord and it contains motor cells for skeletal muscles
Spinal nerve is a combination of sensory and motor neurons that is responsible for reflexes of the body.
The ventral canal cell is a small part that is cut off the archegonium.
The central canal is the CSF filled space at the center in the spinal cord.
Grey matter is grey because it is a zone rich in cell bodies that are responsible for it's physical grey appearance. White matter appears white due to presence of abundant axons.
