Although each step has it's own unique and functional value, however when it comes to the CIT, the most critical step to accurate intervention planning and future course of action would be the interpretation of the data obtained. Once the data is collected, one needs to interpret the data using various frameworks and analyse the current need of the client. For instance, a social worker may deeply consider the issue or challenge at hand from a sociocultural perspective. In case of a child who shows certain symptoms, a developmental framework may be used to analyze the milestones, etc. Thus the interpretation and making meaning of the entire data is one of the most crucial steps to correct actions and follow up.
