Operant conditioning is the way of shaping behaviour, it comes under behavioural learning. Skinner has worked a lot in operant conditioning. Operant conditioning states that as per the reinforcement or punishment a person gives response. Ans4) Operant conditioning is used at a large scale in an oragnization, For eg, in the offices, a reward is given for the better performance whereas a person may receive low rating during assessment if the performance is not upto the mark. These days because of the globalization and competition operant conditioning is often observed. If in schools 'best behaviour award, neatness award, good handwriting award' is given for the same reasons,hence whichever student receives that award would always feel proud and try to achieve it next time.
