Etiology of psychological disorders according to medical perspective:
Medical perspective holds biological reasons for various psychological Disorders. Syphillis infection causes deterioration in mental and physical capacities in a person.
Psychological perspective
Depression from psychological perspective can be evaluated as a condition that occurs due to poor self concept,that may have roots in traumatized childhood and due to learned maladaptive ways of coping stress and anxiety.
Sociocultural perspective
Aggressive behavior in a person may be due to poor familial bonds and inability to maintain interpersonal relationship and interactions.Also violent behavior may be due to the environmental conditions as poverty and overcrowding neighborhood where violence and aggressive behavior is more common.
Biopsychosocial perspective
This approach considers all the reasons of biological, psychological and sociocultural causes for psychological disorders.It says that a mental disorder is a product of biopsychosocial dysfunctions.
Causes for alcoholism can be due to genetic makeup, when combined with poor self concept or childhood trauma and an environment that supports this tendency .
