ANS) Coronary arteries, pulmonary arteries and aorta play major vital role during myocardial infarction and pulmonary edema whereas, Veins doesn't play any vital role in myocardial infarction and pulmonary edema. Right ventricular output normally equals left ventricular output. If the left ventricular fails to keep up with the blood coming back from the lungs due to injury of the muscle it's output is said to be down. The blood that is added to the blood from the Left Atrium therefore backs up into the pulmonary capillary system and back to the right vent and right arium. The blood in the lung increase the pressure on the alveolar capillary membrane and fluid seeps through into the alveolus. Eventually this fills the space and starts filling the airways. This is the reason why moist sound or crackles were heard when the women was diagnosed. Hence, then the lower output of the left ventricle diminshes blood flow to the extremities as well as the organs making the skin appear pale because of the dysfunction of the lungs and the relative inability for oxygen to reach the blood the skin may appear bluish too.
