Question
It is NOT NECESSARY to include the text of the question to which you are responding. In fact, it's distracting and frequently aggravating. So, please don't do it. All we want to see is your response to the questions.
Your post should ALWAYS contain an introduction and a conclusion. You wouldn't run a race without stretching first and cooling down afterward, so don't submit a Main Post without an introduction and a conclusion. This includes Main Posts that are answering multiple questions. Your Main Post cannot earn a grade of "A" if you do not have an introduction and a conclusion.
The ideal Main Post will have at least three paragraphs, will be at least 250 words (equivalent to one double-spaced page) and will cite at least one reliable source.
Main Postings:
A. Explain how you can use neural networks in your everyday life.
Explanation / Answer
Answer: Simulating densely interconnected brain cells inside a computer that enables it to learn things, recognize patterns, and make decisions in a humanlike way is the core concept of neural network. These are software simulations made by programming ordinary/ traditional computers to work in a fashion similar to that of human brain with specified reasoning and descision making. A neural network comprises of units arranged in a series of layers known as (i). input units (that receive various forms of information from the outside world that needs to be learnt, recognize and processed by the network). (ii). output units (that account for networks response to the information received). (iii). hidden units, (which intersperse between the two units, connects them and form the major matter of artificial brain). The information flow design therefore is a feedforward network pattern, where the information are fed into the network via the input units, which trigger the layers of hidden units, which ultimately mitigate the response at the output units.
On daily and everyday basis there are innumerable applications for neural networks that involve recognizing patterns and making simple decisions about them. The autopilot in airplanes where input units read signals from the various cockpit instruments and output units modify the plane's controls appropriately to keep it safely on course. Radar scanning systems that forecast weather, identify foreign aircrafts/ ships, help in medical diagnosis. Cell phone apps that recognise handwriting/ fingerprint on a touchscreen or voice recognition. Email programs that automatically differentiate between genuine emails and spam.
Therefore, neural network accompanied with machine learning would mark the future of artificial intelligence making computers and technologies associated with them more human like.
