I’m doing a paper for my Entrepreneurship class on starting a cannabis delivery service company that will be focusing on delivering cannabis and cannabis related products from growers to dispensaries and/or from dispensaries to clinics in the state of California. In other words, we are only doing business to business deliveries and not to consumers. I need help addressing and answering ONLY the Environmental, Political/Legal, and Global factors of the STEEPG analysis, which can/will impact our venture in this case our cannabis delivery company. Environmental Factors: One of the most important environmental factors is the climatic change and hence the corresponding growth, because of this the business might suffer and the planning should be made as per the changing climate. Also another factor to be taken care is the availability of renewable and non-renewable parameters associated with cannabis. Hot and arid climate temperature and environment would affect the production and thus will affect the sales.
Political Factors: The intervention of the government is not much in it and also government is supporting such startups by giving the initial seed funding because in the long term such initiatives would help the society as a whole hence the political and legal environment is quite conducive for such a startup. The taxation policy including the labor laws are also loosely defined as of now which can be capitalized upon to stabilize the startup.
Global Factors: Global market is receptive for such an initiative and there is a good amount of demand in the outside world. The import laws for such products are very supportive and climate change in different parts of the world would ensure that there would always be some territory that would have a good amount of demand for this product.
