1.
Structures involved in transpiration:
i. Stomata
ii. Vasculature
Forces involved in transpiration:
i. Low water potential in leaves
ii. Root pressure
iii. External temperature, wind speed, and the atmospheric pressure
A plant can regulate the movement of stomata depending upon its requirements. Stomata remain open when the plant performs the gaseous exchange. The stomat remains closed when excess water is lost through transpiration.
If the stomata is closed all the time, the plant can not perform respiration or photosynthesis.
If the stomata is open all the time, the plant looses water all the time.
Both these will cause the death of plants.
