Ive's created a scietific experiment about cannibis and Psychosis. Base on this information Iv'e created I need to know what would be my Null Hypothesis?

Cannabis and Psychosis

The Psychosis level in human is the independent variable

Cannabis drug dosage is the dependent variable

H1: There is an effect of cannabis in reducing Psychosis

The hypothesis is directional as it reduces the Psychosis of humans.

I feel like this was hard to decide because of course I would be looking at those that cannabis users, and have Psychosis disorders. I research different sampling methods and this one made the most sense to me. Stratified sampling you use this when there are smaller sub-groups that are to be investigated, as well as when you want to achieve greater statistical significance in a smaller sample. Use it to reduce standard error. (Steinberg, 2011)

The alternative hypothesis is thehypothesis used in hypothesis testing that is contrary to the null hypothesis. It is usually taken to be that the observations are the result of a real effect (with some amount of chance variation superposed).

So null hypothesis will be simply H0: There is no effect of cannabis in reducing Psychosis
