1. The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban despite openly stating his goals and vision of building an illiberal state is not yet under scrutiny by the world media. China and Russia are often critiqued by the Western world for their governments’ ideologies, but the European Union is quiet about the way Orban’s attempts to amend Hungary’s constitution to give his government more power, his harsh critique of multiculturalism and immigration and his crackdown on an uncensored media. Although it appears that Orban intends to continue remaining a member of the European Union, he has engaged in many ideological clashes in the past.
