Question
22) What is one weakness of Erikson's stages of Social Development: Forming Attachments and Understanding Others? His developmental stages are too simplistic to be considered accurate in any way o His age ranges may not be entirely accurate as we resolve many of these conflicts earlier in the life span. His developmental stages are flawed by the lack of research with normal, representative samples of the population His age ranges may not be entirely accurate as we can have conflicts of any type throughout the life span.Explanation / Answer
Option (D)
Explanation - Erikson's stages of Social Development consisted of eight stages and is reffered as entire-life span theory. He proposed that each of these eight psychosocial stages will improve our basic strengths. But the weakness of his theory was the range of age he described. For example, in some cultures people marry at the age of 15 to 20 while in some they hold on till the age of 30-35. So, we can have conflicts of any type throughout the life span
