But none of these moves addressed the fundamental problem: Starbucks is a mass brand attempting to command a premium price for an experience that is no longer special.

Starbucks competitive advantage for business growth is its strong brand image which makes its customers prefer having its products over any other coffee brand. It also has a supply chain that is spread extensively on global basis. Having branches all over the world running successfully is the main factor of growth. Startbucks has also diversified its business through susidiaries such as Ethos water and Teavana. Plans like reward cards and customer experience survey makes the customer feel more involved and want to visit the place again. Their well designed stores, stylish and comfortable ambience and professionally skilled staff makes the brand stand out from the others.
Startbucks to recover and expand its business in Saudia Arabia can focus on diversification of products and services based on the environmental culture of the place. They can introduce the use of Sheesha in their menu as it is the mind set of the people living their that smoking Sheesha is an essential part when hanging out in cafes. They can also keep seperate sections for ladies and families accompanied by ladies as the pardah system in the country is strict and ladies can only visit places with such an ambience.
The goal of the company is development of a culture that believes in acceptance and personal growth. Personal growth is something that occurs through challenge and helps the growth of the company. Their objective that ultimate satisfaction of customers by providing them a quality different from what they get anywhere in the market or at their home. Their motive of the expansion in the new country with this vision will help them gain business growth and profits from the expansion.
