Discussion 1: Understanding and Helping to Prevent Suicide.
What kind of immediate and long-term stressors have been linked to suicide?
What other conditions or events may help trigger suicidal acts?
How can you help prevent suicide?
Do you have any personal experience(s) that you would to share with us?
I’ll lead on that one.
A little over 2 years ago my daughter-in-law dropped our then 7-year-old grandson off at school, then drove home, laid down in the bathtub and drove a kitchen knife through her heart.
She must have been in a lot of pain to be capable of doing that but we will never know for sure since she didn’t leave a note.
