The need for informatio securty is due to the threats presnet out there. threats are like you may be falling into trap of cyber criminals who became friends through social netowrking sites with some fake information or any site offering some steep discounts is real business or not.

Information security involves wide range of technlgies ranging from Personal computers to mobile phones with internet over broad band, wifi etc. All these have their own opportunities and risks.

Connecting to internt attarcats many malicious hackers also exposes all information. Sending emails over internet is as private as postcards.
