Develop a brief outline on how to conduct the interview.

Explanation / Answer

Below is how an interview can be conducted for a suspect who has allegedly stolen amount involving accounts receivables -

1. Initial questionnaire should be around understanding the employee's qualifications, experience, other personal anf professional details.

2. Following questionnaire should be around the employee's experience with the organization, the firm's processes and practices around managing accounts and customers etc.

3. This will be followed by specific questions around Accounts maintenance specificially in the Accounts Receivables while centered around customers, their credit history etc.

4. The final questionnaire should be around the suspected fraud and all the cash receipts vs accounts maintained. Any difference in the account details need to be questioned in depth till the employee clearly comes out with a fitting explanation, failure of which the employee needs to admit to any fraudulent activities conducted and more details on the involvement of any other employees.
