For my project for systems design, i wanted to make a airline booking system. My instructor said that "my porblem desctiption doesnt include any discussion of activities that your system is going to support." as well as "most listed issues are out of my control" as a system designer. How should the problem descritpion be worded as well as issues realing to systems design for an onllie airline booking system?
Problem description Airlines have deals with many third party websites in order to attract more customers. Many travelers are frustrated with increased layovers, frequent gate changes, and overbooked flights. Airline companies have no direct communication with customers in regards to purchasing a ticket through a third party website. It's highly recommended that all airline companies proceed with caution when dealing with these third party companies Issues Current airline booking process... 1. Customers are being overbooked and forced to compensate. 2. Customers are not being notified within 24 hours of their flight rescheduling. 3. Outdated advertising shows deals that were from a week ago instead of today's deal. 4. Crashing frequently happens when many customers are accessing the servers during the holidays. 5. Intrusions of spam and malware forcing customers to not enter sensitive information. 6. Complicated third party refund policies or no refund policy at all. . Problems description for an online airline booking system involves sset of challneges and limitations tht my system design for the airline reservation would be able to address like connection downloading an opening speed and availability that sometimes acts as a deterrent for customers to access the flight website and book tickets.Also seeing to it that my online airline booking system provides precise accurate and adequate information about the company offers and policies. Also payng attenion to the problem of security and spam ie ensuring no stealing of card information and keep disruptions at bay ie acts as a barrier to enter sensitive information.
Also designing the system that can deal with issues of searching and booking flights , offeringsgeneral view of the airlines websites ,issues of printing e.ticket ,credit card authenticaton ,and should mention all facilities ie pacakge tours provided by the airline company through website and pictuures .
