Let the cost per pound of cinnamon tea be $ x and that of spice tea be $ y.
Then acc. to question,
10x + 2y = 31........(1)
and 16x + 4y = 52......(2)
Multiplying (1) by 2 , we get , 20x +4y = 62 ....(3)
Subtracing (2) from (3) , we get
4x = 10
=> x= 2.5
Put this value in equation one , we get
y = 3
Therefore, the cost per pound of cinnamon tea is $ 2.5 and that of spice tea is $3.
