Explanation / Answer

Given Pr(A)=0.35 and Pr(0.45)

(1) Here we have A is a subset of set B it means every element of A is also an element of B

now Pr(AUB)= Pr(B)=0.45

(2) In this case there is no common element between A and B hence Pr(AUB)=Pr(A)+Pr(B)-Pr(AB)=Pr(A)+Pr(B)=0.35+0.45=0.80

(3) In this case there is no common element between A and complement of B hence Pr(AUB)=Pr(A)+Pr(B)-Pr(AB)=Pr(A)+Pr(B)=0.35+0.45=0.80 [in this case for Pr(AUB) we don't need complement of B ]
