A Lean Six Sigma project team is working to improve the consistency of the active ingredients in the over the counter drugs produced by their organization. The active ingredient in one of their key product lines contains solubilized ibuprofen (a pain relief/fever reducer). Data were collected regarding the amount of solubilized ibuprofen (measured in milligrams, mg) in randomly collected capsules collected over the last month (50 data points). The results of the run chart are shown below with samples plotted in sequential order of the day/time collected.
