Explanation / Answer

1. The slope of the crater for SP Mountain is steeper. So it is shown with hachure lines while the other part is of gentle slope, so the hachure line is not being used.  

2. In 1989 map the crater for SP mountin is represented by hachure line which means the crater has steepest slope than the surrunding surface. Whereas, in 2014 the crater contour are simple contour lines. It means the slope of the crater become gentle over time. This may due to erosion with time and or little subsidence/upliftment in this area.

3. Land covered by vegetation was more in 1989 compared to 2014. There were 9 patches of vegetation in 1989 whereas, it is only 4 in 2014.

4.Advantage - a.In 1989 map we can only have a idea about the relife and surface structure of the area. Whereas, in 2014 map alomg with the orthoimage we can have an idea of changes in lithology in different parts of the area.

b. the linear feature like rigdes and other lineaments are more compareable with the help of the orthoimage in 2014.

c. Little changes in surface feature can be more understandable in 2014 map with orthoimage.

Disadvantage - The contours of 1989 map is more precise than the 2014 map.
