Explanation / Answer

A) From Chapter 9:
Explain each of the 5 principles of relative age dating (i.e, horizontality, superposition, etc).

we have mainly 5 principles of relative age dating, they are following

1 principal of superposition- It tells us older rocks lies beneth the younger rocks.

2 principal of original Horizontality- generally, most of the sediments deposited horizontally due to influence gravity. So this helps to find the older and younger rocks order when layer deformed as fold and faults.

3 principal cross cutting- when faults occur through sedimentary layers, this helps us to find relative dating of rocks.

4 principal of inclusions- Inclusion in the sedimentary layers are always older than inclusion contain layers.

5 Principle of fossil succession- presence of fossils in sedimentary strata can help us easily to find relative age of rocks.
