Question
Suppose a study is done to determine if patients with chronic bronchitis approve of secretion clearance devices. Each patient is asked if they approve or disapprove of the effectiveness of each device, before and after using the device. The same patients are questioned before and after using each device. What is the proper statistical test? ?A. McNemar test ?B. Fisher Exact test ?C. Paired T-test ?D. Here in study data is paired i.e. after and before using device question asked.
and here outcome is binary i.e. approve or disprove therfore it is not a interval or ration type of the data.it is ordinal data. Therefore we cannot use paired t test.
Therefore we have to use wilcoxon sign rank test in non parametric.but data has binary outcome so we can use Mcnemar test.
A. McNemar test
