These diseases can be caused by bacteri, fungi etc. The factors that contribute the emerging infectious diseases are Unknown or undetected infectious agents - Example, anthrax bacteria. Known agents of diseases that spread from one region to the other. Example - Ebola virus. Known agents whose role in diseases have gone unrecognized. Example - Avian flu. It is important to catch bats because it carries a disease called SARS that is severe acute respiratory syndrome.This causes breathing problems in people. Pandemic is a condition when a disease spreads throughout the world. For example influenza virus. Epidemic is the condition where the disease spreads only in a particular area. For example, Malaria.
