Question
PLEASE HELP ME!! Using the slope from part (b), find an equation of the tangent line to the curve at P(3, 4).
Equation: y-y1=m(x-x1)
m=4
Plug in numbers: y-(-4)=4(x-3) = y+4=4x-12
Final answer: y=4x-16. My answer is wrong according to webassign.

Using the slope from part (b), find an equation of the tangent line to the curve at P(3, 4).
We know that the Equationof tangent line : y-y1=m(x-x1)
m=4
Plug in numbers: y-(-4) = 4(x-3)
so y+4 = 4x-12
y = 4x-16
so 4x-y = 16
your calculation is right but web assign wants the different form .
