b) describe in more detail the behavior of one or two bacterial members (species) of that group, particularly actions that have an impact (beneficial or detrimental) on human welfare.

c) convince the class that, in light of the crucial role that your organisms play in human welfare, you should receive the fifty million bucks to do research on that bacterial group (this will, of course, provide you with substantial personal monetary compensation as well).

Spirochetes are a group of phylogenetically-distinct bacteria that have a unique mode of motility by means of axial filaments (endoflagella).
