Climate change
Over the last 5 decades human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels have released sufficient amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases that traps the additional heat in the lower atmosphere and affect the global climate.
In the last 130 years, the world has heated up by approximately 0.85oC.
We can see rising of sea levels, melting of glaciers and precipitation patterns are changing. Extreme weather events are becoming more frequent.
Apart from the fact that global warming might bring some localized benefits, like as fewer winter deaths in temperate climates and increased food production in certain areas, the net health effects of a changing climate are likely to be overwhelmingly non positive. Climate change affects social and environmental determinants of health – clean air, safe drinking water, sufficient food and secure shelter.
Children and immunocompromised persons are at risk.
Use of Air condition, refrigerator, deforestation, pollition etc. are key causes of global warming.
In a nutshell we need to control out activities or we will have to face death.
