Explanation / Answer

33. Seminal vesicles secrete the seminal fluid (semen) which contains the spermatozoa. 30% of the semen is an alkaline fluid secreted by the prostate gland. This helps in increasing the lifespan of the spermas it helps in neutralizing the acidity of the vaginal tract. So, the prostate gland secretes an alkaline fluid.

34. The semen secreted by the seminal vesicles also contains proteolytic enzymes, fructose (food source of sperms), and other components required for the survival of the sperms. So, Seminal vesicles provide fructose.

35. After the production of sperms in the seminiferous tubules, the immature sperms move to the epididymis for maturation and are stored there. The ductus deferens (vas deferens) serves as carrier of sperms to the ejaculatory duct So, Epididymis and ductus deferens are storage sites for sperms.

37. Seminal vesicles produce fibrinogen which, by the action of clotting enzymes, produces fibrin which leads to clotting of semen. So, Seminal vesicles secrete fibrinogen.

38. The clotting enzymes, that produce fibrin and coagulate the semen, are secreted by the prostate gland. So, the prostate gland provides clotting enzymes.

40. False. The process of spermatogenesis (development from haploid germs cells to spermatids) requires cell division, whereas the process of spermiogenesis (development from spermatids to spermatozoa). This process takes takes in the Golgi apparatus (with help of Sertoli cells), where the maturation happens.

41. True. Dysmenorrhea refers to painful periods that may cause painful cramps, backaches, headaches and dizziness during periods. It may occur due to heavy or irregular periods.

42. True. The vulva refers to female external genitalia which includes the labia majora, labia minora, mons pubis, clitoris, the vaginal opening, vulval vestibule, vestibular bulbs, urinary meatus, Bartholin's and Skene's vestibular glands.
