The box is connected via a cord of negligible mass to a box of laundered money (mass m2 = 2.0 kg) on a frictionless plane inclined at angle ?2 = 65 degree . The pulley is frictionless and has negligible mass. What is the tension in the cord?

m1g sin ? = 3*9.8 sin 25 = 12.4249 N


m2 g sin ? = 2*9.8 sin 65 = 17.7636 N


Net force pulling down both masses in he direction of greater force i is 17.7636 -12.4249 = 5.3387


The acceleration of the masses is force / mass = 5.3387 / 5 = 1.06774 m/s^2



The f net force acting on the mass 3 kg is 3*1.06774 = 3.20322 N


T = 3.20322+ 12.4249 = 15.62 N
