Explanation / Answer
What are the automation manufacturing process for hard drive?
Many electronic device manufacturers use machines with PLCs as controllers that need to be able to communicate with a central server for auto process sequence control. They desired an automated system that could easily handle communications with the server and provide their engineers with an easy-to-use interface to monitor their HDD manufacturing. Charging machines are an integral part of the lapping plate process at many major HDD manufacturers. Previously, this customer had been using amanual lapping plate quality control system which depended on the engineers to verify each plate had been charged before being sent to the polishing machine, which was causing many of their HDD's to be defective.
What are the main concepts and important equations to understand the hard drive?
hard drive or fixed disk is a data storage device which utilize magnetic storage to store and get digital information using one or more rigid rapidly rotating disks (platters) which is coated with magnetic material. The platters are paired with magnetic heads, usually arranged on a moving actuator arm, which read and write data to the platter surfaces.Data is accessed in a random-access manner, meaning that individual blocks of data can be stored or retrieved in any order and not only sequentially. HDDs are a type of non-volatile storage, retaining stored data even when powered off.
How does hard drive work in terms of functioning and manufacturing?
A modern HDD records data by magnetizing a thin film of ferromagnetic materialon a disk. Sequential changes in the direction of magnetization is shown by the binary data bits. The data will be read from the disk by detecting the transitions in magnetization. User data is encoded using an encoding scheme, such as run-length limited encoding, which determines how the data is represented by the magnetic transitions.
What is the AC to DC power distribution, what is the safety circuit relate to it?
Power distribution to IT equipment in a data center or network room can be accomplished using AC or DC power. AC power is typically distributed at the local mains voltage of 120 V,208 V, or 230 V. DC power is typically distributed at the telecommunications standard voltage of 48 V.
Safety circuit is An electronic circuit that prevents malfunction by sounding an alert or activating a trip circuit on a protective device.
What is the motion control and motor interface in electrical engineering? An electric motor is an electrical machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The reverse of this would be the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy and is done by an electric generator.
Electric motors are used to produce linear or rotary force (torque), and should be distinguished from devices such as magnetic solenoids and loudspeakers that convert electricity into motion but do not generate usable mechanical powers, which are respectively referred to as actuators and transducers.
How do you generate DC and AC? The AC motor operates on the same principle of the OC motor (interaction between magnetic lines of flux). One major difference is the OC motor requires DC current and the AC motor requires AC current. There are basically two types of AC motors: synchronous and induction.
We can pass current through the coils in a direction so the north and south poles are aligned with the permanent magnet. The permanent magnet is free to rotate and is therefore called the rotor. The electro magnets are stationaryand are therefore called the stator. Initially if the north and south poles are aligned in the motor and, because like poles repel and unlike poles attract, the rotor will be pushed by the magnetic force of the like poles. As it rotates, it will be pulled by the magnetic force of the unlike poles.
DC Motor
When a current passes through a conductor, lines of magnetic force (flux) are generated around the conductor. The direction of the flux is dependent on the direction of the current flow. If you are thinking in terms of conventional current flow (positive to negative) then, using your right hand point your thumb in the direction of the current flow and your fingers will wrap around the conductor in the same direction of the flux lines.
What is a rotor, stator, field of motor, shunt field, motor, and amature circuit of a DC and AC circuit?
The static part that houses the field windings and receives the supply and,
Stator is the ststionary part or fixed part.
Rotor – The rotating part that brings about the mechanical rotations.
field winding are made with field coils (copper wire) wound over the slots of the pole shoes in such a manner that when field current flows through it, then adjacent poles have opposite polarity are produced. The field winding basically form an electromagnet, that produces field flux within which the rotor armature of the DC motor rotates, and results in the effective flux cutting.
A shunt field (and any series resistor used for adjustment) may be directly connected across the armature terminals in parallel with the load. Where the machine has a series compounding winding, the field may be connected at the armature side (short shunt) or load side (long shunt).
