You join a fellow student looking at a recently dead ash tree that is cut down. Your friend notes that the wood of the tree looks in perfect shape, and wonders why this tree died. Explain to your friend, in your own words, why the wood looks good, and why the tree died. Include specific comments on what the beetle does, using terms discussed in class.

Emerald ash borer prefer to lay there egg under the bark of tree. The bark size found in between 0.05 inch-0.20 inch. They use the tree to larval feeding which includes the serpentine. Damage to serpentine disrupts the flow of water and nutrients. Because of that the tree falls down.
